The HARTA Heritage Jewellery Museum – HABIB takes Action for the Revival of our Traditions and Arts

The HARTA Museum was established for the specific purpose of reviving public interest in the jewellery heritage of Malaysia’s past, especially in the nation’s biggest city.

While there is considerable literature on the history and culture of Malaysia, very little of it deals specifically with the jewellery traditions of Malaysia’s multi-ethnic groups.

Thus, the HARTA Museum serves as a reminder to all Malaysians that these objects are of great significance to our society. It is hoped that the many splendid examples of traditional jewellery that HABIB, Malaysia’s premier jeweller, has collected over the past 65 years that is now displayed here will continue to grow and to inspire Malaysians to take greater pride in our rich artistic heritage.
